Hi-Tech Collision CARSTAR - History

Hi-Tech Collision CARSTAR owner, Tracey Copeland, began his career restoring classic cars working with a local Puyallup shop in 1975. As his career progressed, Tracey began doing general collision repair and, over a period of 14 years, worked his way up from body work to heavy body and frame, painting and learned to become an estimator. Having gained experience in all shop operations Tracey was promoted to management and often ran the shop while the owner focused on other business projects, providing Tracey with valuable experience in bookkeeping, billing and other vital back office operations.

In 1989 Tracey decided to open his own shop in downtown Puyallup, founding Hi-Tech Collision CARSTAR. In 1993 Tracey expanded to his present 2 acre facility conveniently located in Spanaway across Pacific Avenue from the Les Schwab store. The new location has allowed Hi-Tech Collision CARSTAR to expand by increasing the shop area available for collision repair and adding work areas for general automotive and mechanical services while offering 2 acres of secure storage. Since then Hi-Tech Collision CARSTAR has continuously added service facilities and built today's comfortable front office and employee recreation areas.

From the beginning, Tracey's focus has been on providing the best customer service possible to each and every customer.
